Lodovica Mairè Rogati is an actress, screenwriter, director and Tv compere. Born in Rome an italian father and english mother with Irish blood in her veins inherited from her maternal grandfather who was of Southern Irish origin. Lodovica received a thorough and rigid education which led at only 22 to a degree with full marks in the Science of Communication specializing in Journalism. She collaborated as photo-reporter for various nature and travel magazines and she chose to divide a period of her life between Italy and Africa. After frequenting various Academies and Drama Courses, Lodovica Mairè Rogati began her career as an actress in 2005 with the sit-com “Sottopeso” directed by M. Limberti. The following year saw her tv debut as compere in a Rai talk show “Tabú Show”, written and organised by her in which with well-known guests she tackled thorny topics such as sexual discriminarion , unmarried couples, the difficulty for the young and the not so young to find employment. Perfectly at ease Lodovica Mairè Rogati conducted the transmission with an excellent audience share. In the same year she is cast as the protagonist in the film “Deadly Kitesurf” directed by A. De Feo, filmed entirely in Africa for Lodovica her second home. In 2007 she is the co-protagonist in the new christmas film “Matrimonio alle Bahamas” directed by C. Risi and filmed in Miami and the Bahamas. In 2010 Lodovica presented the programme on Rai tv “Buon Compleanno Miss Italia nel Mondo” and is engaged in the fiction “Il Commissario Manara 2″. Always an activist in all the cases in favour of animals, Lodovica Mairè Rogati in 2013 founded an Association that combats violence inflicted on women called “IO NON CI STO”.
